Artist Statement
I grew up separated from my culture, and I found my creativity lacking during my formative
years. After researching independently, I was able to connect to my heritage and who I am as a
creator. I want to bring my clients' ideas and aspirations to life and help develop their
voices through my designs. I am an interpreter who produces art through experimentation
with historical trends and modern art. I thrive through learning and encourage using culture and
elements of your life to define yourself. I believe in the importance of merging art and design
with characteristics that make up individuality.

I find beauty in learning from our predecessors. Understanding where we as human beings
come from is crucial in the design process. Combining various techniques with modern
technology Is liberating, and I am always looking to grow and work with new techniques.
